Bid accepted for Ameen from Norwich
Its a sad one as would've liked him to perform for us. However he doesn't really want to be here and with Smith out we need the funds to cover players who are going to contribute more now.

Exactly.

If he doesn't want to be here, or we can't afford him, then what can you do.

"a wonderful young man with fantastic parents". Isn't that what Holloway said about Ameen? And then comes out and says "he didn't do what I asked him"? So,that's it then? Out in the cold because of one game? Thought Holloway was the master of man management
Depends whether it was a deliberate act or not.   Ie asked to pick the ball up from deep, but deliberately stood up front instead.   No idea tbh - but Holloway says so many words its inevitable some don't make sense or contradict.

I suspect though that Holloway was just been playing the transfer market game and trying to get a better price.  The Smith bid went from £75k to £300k, if we get double what was originally touted for Ameen then it doesn't really matter what bollocks comes out of Ollie's mouth and is a welcome change from seeing good players like Reed, Gladwin and, in hindsight, Darcy go for peanuts.

Tafazolli sounds like a proper scraping of the barrel signing.

Waste of time, if he wasn’t invested as our player he’d be less invested as a loanee.

How much better than Delaney is he going to be. Feel like we shot ourselves in the foot with that one. Can't rely on Clarke and Ball to stay fit and I think its going to come at our detriment.

Players lose their way. Not writing him off before he has signed and kicked a ball.

But it's always interesting to read fans views

You cant shoot yourself in the foot if the player himself wants to leave.

I would think we will only see Delaney anywhere near the 1st team if deadline day passes and he doesnt get the move North that he wants.

100000% this.

No need to write any player off before they have even agreed a deal to sign for us, if indeed it is him and it happens.

MacDonald wasnt rated by Rotherham fans when he signed and he did ok (IMO) for us2 before the issues off the pitch.

Hes big, decent in the air, he loves to score goals with his head (averages 4 goals a season) and has experience at Peterborough, Hull, Mansfield and Wycombe with 400 games played.

I say if it is him at least give him a chance.

Yes you can.

He’s under contract. If we want to play him, we play him. He plays [Roy Keane] that’s his job [/Roy Keane]
