Same as Ameen as I don’t believe he was left out against Cardiff as he had already played enough minutes and he needed the space in the squad for others.

I expect Ameen to be left out of the squad tomorrow, with a sale to be announced by Wednesday. But I am usually correct about 20% of the time. Note: I tried to connect a psychic, but owing to unforeseen circumstances the website had been closed sown.

So you’re saying there’s an 80% chance he will be in the squad😁

Good The team sheet released 75 minutes prior to kick-off tomorrow will speak volumes. No Smith in the squad would obviously indicate "Sayonara, Harry", whereas Smith starting should indicate either more dosh is to be extorted, or a move ain't going to happen as it is eventually Harry's decision.
My gut feeling is that depth charts have been scrutinized with prospects having already been identified. I recall Tommy Jenkins being signed as a "replacement" for Don Rogers, as well as Elliot Benyon being signed to "replace" Charlie Austin. Both of those transactions resulted in the club going 180 degree in the wrong direction.
point but big H is not in the same class as Charlie or Sir Don.

He's not. He's the best striker we have by some distance though.
I wouldn't blame the club for cashing in I wouldn't blame Smith for taking more money
But boy am I not confident of an adequate replacement

Can't argue that he is, but no Harry would mean revamping tactics which if I recall correctly wasn't evident from the Sir Don or Charlie departures. No Harry would obviously mean no Harry's bonce as a target for long punts up-field.

Genuinely not sure if you're suggesting no Harry would be devastating or an opportunity. Can actually see both sides of that argument. On balance I think it's more likely to be a disaster.

Can't see the town turning down 300,000 quid or so. Yes, it could be an opportunity, but would require smart reinvestment in the playing staff to pull it off, bit of a long shot even for Ollie.

Let’s not forget it also has to be about what Harry wants as it’s a big commitment moving a family to another country.

Also, a last chance of a top wage, lots to think about.

Agreed and not much time to ponder.

We won't reinvest it. I don't want Clem to have any money. You don't sell your top scorer if you want to be successful.
Happy for him to see out his contract and for the board to get nothing.
This. That fee would cover 2 really decent league 2 players on approx £3000 a week.
Thats almost double what our highest earners are on (from what I have been told by someone who should know). So that could be 4x new players near to our max wage level. But thats assuming it would be invested back into the playing squad and not put aside to pay "admin expenses" or stewarding costs and ground safety updates.
