He was the fella on trial in January who didn't end up signing, right? Palace loaner.
Released by Palace. Free agent.

Wasn’t fitness the issue in January🤔
Don’t think so, we opted to use the spare money on Westley instead. Holloway said at the time he isn’t on trial anymore but we may take another look in the summer.

Nothing to lose in taking a look at a player that we had in back in January on trial to see if he can add something to the team.
Hes a free now so really absolutely nothing to lose. Colchester also looking at him.

Jadan raymond watch this space.
Definitely worth a punt. You've got to imagine Butterworth is being moved on. In reference to that other post. I do still think Ameen will be gone by end of August but for that to happen he would have to have had a really good start to the season (Which would likely mean a good start for the team) and the money will need to be there. Ownership change is necessary as all of the optimism is propped up by a manager who isnt going to be here forever its paper over the cracks.

I wonder if we could see a situation where Ameen is loaned back. Like Louis Thompson did when we sold him to Norwich.

I could see him being the Ameen backup plan.

If we can get Westley for a song I think it'd be a good punt. Can see us turning a decent profit on him after a full year or so under Holloway.

Cambridge said to be moving their attention from Harry Smith to Charltons Gassan Ahadme and Sam Cosgrove after us rebuffing their offers for Smith.

Interesting, quite liked Westley. Didn't think we'd be making a move though with all the strikers we have on board though...

Holloway keeps saying he wants to get in an as many attacking options as he can. Westley knows the club, he knows the players, he knows Holloway and what he demands from games, his dad is a very good mate of Holloways too, I would say that gives us the edge in signing him.

I think it'll most likely come down to where he thinks he's most likely to get game time. He knows he's not likely to be a starter here. If Accrington are likely to make to him one of the first names on the team sheet he could well want to take that gamble.

Accrington Stanley is very very close to Burnley and the pull of a starting slot must be strong for the lad but so is coming to this future seasons champions.....(I can dream).
