Im more inclined to believe The Moonraker over the Advert, no offence to Joe.

I agree on both counts. No disrepect to Joe meant at all.

I think they’re mostly saying the same thing in terms of Cambridge are looking at alternative targets after 2 bids have been rejected by us.
Their interest has cooled off immediately but may return later in the window.

Yeah, there article makes it crystal clear that Swindon have no intention of selling and nothing has changed there.
Just that from the Cambridge side they haven't decided on the next move (try again or move on), but trying again isn't a dead no.

If Cambridge try again then surely it will only be if they get a hint from Smith's side that he is interested otherwise why pay a big amount for the player to turn down the move (who knows what will happen with agents involved) - and surely they don't return with an offer of an extra 50k surely it is a bigger offer made to tempt stfc to sell rather than testing the water.

The Moonraker says It likely would take a sum of more than £250,000 to consider selling Smith, and I think that's fair enough

When you see the awful target man Luke Armstrong was transfered from Harrogate to Carlisle for £400k then I think even £250k is a pretty low figure, Smith is a far superior player than Armstrong ever will be.

I've just started subscribing again to the Adver, got fed up not being able to read their articles and at £6 for six months, why wouldn't you? I'm glad I did as I've read some really good articles. Good work Joe! Liked the Melksham and Chippenham match updates as well...

I subscribed to the Advert too. I like Joe, he seems like a really nice lad, especially enjoy him on the LSpod. I recommend subscribing just for his long reads.

Leicester City centre-back Tom Wilson-Brown has agreed a season-long loan move to Swindon Town. Chesterfield and Kilmarnock were also keen on Wilson-Brown but Swindon have won race for him. #LCFC #stfc #spireites #KilmarnockFC

Was on loan at Kilmarnock in the SPL last season.
Not being funny, but is a loan to us a bit of a backward step?

I don’t think he played any games for Kilmarnock whilst on loan.

I hope this doesn’t mean Delaney‘s out the door. This would make our back line quite inexperienced.
And im fine with Delaney leaving but not to be replaced with an u21 with no EFL experience.
