Botan Ameen who doesn't currently have a pro contract (and is out of scholarship in summer) and is absolutely getting interest from elsewhere. |

Many more important things to worry about. Longelo was not going to fit in Holloways long term (next season?) planned shape of 433.
If we sold him for 10k and the transfer was detailed as 'undisclosed' would people be any happier and would it make any material difference on what happens next? I don't think so. For a player who has largely not played, then it is what it is.
While Ameen has been mentioned as his positional replacement, it doesn't mean Longelo's squad position doesn't yet get replaced, in which case the wage flex may be worth it, if the replacement has a more meaningful effect on the team.
