This is it, a lot of our fan base wear it as a badge of honour that they refuse to believe a word our notoriously bullshitting chairman says, but will religiously believe what the notoriously bullshitting chairman of another club says...
For some of our fans it's completely the other way around..

Only started 8 games last season for one of the few teams that finished below us. Figures…

Was great for Exeter. Clearly it hasn't worked out very well at Colchester. Could be an astute signing.

The difference is that in league 2 we have to abide by FFP, whereas in the National League they don’t.
FFP rules dont apply to players on or under the age of 21. Pharrell Johnson Joel Cotterill Sean McGurk Miguel Freckleton Anton Dworzak Harrison Minturn Joel McGregor Billy Kirkman Jaxon Brown Sonny Hart Redman Evans Dylan Mitchell So that means we only have 15 current pro's over the age of 21, and that includes Khan who seems to be surplus to requirements. NO way will we be near our FFP playing wage limits.

Matt Jay being mentioned on twitter
Scored 3 times against us, including his only goal for Colchester, never been impressed with him though when I have seen him. But it may well click for him if we sign him, never write a player off before they sign. From the Col U forum. Matt Jay has been given the number 27 instead of last seasons number 7 shirt.
There is talk this evening that Matt Jay wants to go to FGR, I think he is too good for their division but it would be a lot nearer to where he comes from in terms of location but not exactly next door!
No Matt Jay again, I suspect he is going to be leaving very shortly.
The Cowleys do not think Matt Jay is "their type of player".
Anyone able to read today gazette article about Matt Jay? Says he doesn't know where he'll be playing football this season but is putting in the work to be ready wherever it may be. Nothing we didn't know.

I would be very pleasantly stunned if Jake Young re-signed.

Is this a Hope it's not yet another 'look we tried' type signing attempt. Plus I'm surprised he's surplus already. Genuine question, where does he fit in? Assuming we've not sold Glatzel. Would be pretty happy with that! but I'm not sure if we play to his strengths (just my opinion)

You need 4 forwards in the squad right, then we reap the benefit of the competition amongst them to place the best 2. Also with 5 subs and the work-rate/closing down of the team i could easily see a scenario where in a lot of games all 4 play at least some part.
We don't have the money for anything other than a loan from Bradford do we? It will sting if the same thing happens again with recall etc. Maybe they have struggled to sell him given injuries etc?

Yeah I get that. Was expecting the 4th to be a wildcard pacey youngster is all
It would be a great signing, and squad rotation may be the key. I think he'll compete with drinan mostly
At least if he's recalled we have options this time in the perm squad

Yeah same regarding the pace bit, though Young certainly isn't slow, and also has the ability to create things himself.
