Or Sam Parkin at Northampton
Not sure that’s relevant. He had like 3 loans before joining us…

We all know that was just pure luck! He was brought in as a back up and will probably never perform like that in his career again. That was just one of them crazy lightening in a bottle moments
Then why can’t you afford Cotterill the same benefit of the doubt?

Classic (Swindon) fan behaviour.
He was poor, granted but he needs more than 90 minutes to be (properly) judged.
To be honest he improved second half,so, yeah

Not based on one game but based on his underwhelming loan at Stockport. Dont tell me any of you were not underwhelmed by the signing. Just seems like a complete punt to me. Kinda reminds me of the Benn Ward loan last season.
I tend to be neither overwhelmed or underwhelmed by our signings...just ...whelmed I suppose...on account of hardly ever knowing anything about them...

Cotterill was very poor in that first half, but the week before in the Wycombe game I thought he looked good. The fact that Stockport had previously signed him, tells me he obviously has something about him. I would trust their scouting team higher than ours at present.

Go on, just dive in two footed with an opinion, no grey area allowed & stick with it for the season regardless. You know you probably don't want to & it's the right thing to do.

Any midfielder will be in this set up. All 3 of them playing in wrong positions. Cain and ofoborh playing right up or wide is stupid, have them sitting deeper and let Cotterill play more forward.

The midfield is a problem. Cotterill was just annoying me in the first half last night, always looking backwards. To be fair in the second on the front foot he and the midfield looked better. But it's definitely far from being good.

I saw Hawes say on Twitter that 'he is hopeful' that there should be some news about Khan later this week but patience would be required. I do hope it's a confirmed transfer as if it's a one out one in policy we could really do with the extra midfield option.

Mildly interesting - Cotterill has already played more league minutes for Swindon that he did for Stockport last season (his nine league appearances totalled only 85 minutes).
He might be a second loan, but he's really, really new to league football.

He Definitely looks inexperienced. Was marginally better against Crawley. Here's hoping he improves as he gets more games under his belt.

Couple of snippets of transfer news via Sam M.
We've yet to receive an acceptable formal offer for Khan.
We're still trying to get Tshimanga and have said we'll pay 50% of his wages. Peterborough want 75%. We're not willing to shift our wage budget.
