Played in both our fridndlies. Just the sort of player we should be taking a punt on.

As backup yes not so much forcing him into the 1st team straight away though.

We have a fair few young midfielders - Brown 18, Dworzak 19, McGurk 21, Cain 22, Aguiar 23 and then this lad is 18.

Clarke 32, Khan 28, Ofoborh and Uwakwe 24.

You'd imagine we're looking to move on at least one or two on a loan or perm from the first group (not McGurk!)

Not a lot different to the scenario of Cain i guess, albeit no fee paid and he hasn't had an EFL loan.

I’d prefer someone like him who has played men’s football, albeit at a lower level, to someone who has just played PL U23’s football.

It does suggest that we will be shipping out some of our existing players.

I imagine Brown, Dworzak and Aguiar will all be off. Aguiar hasn't even featured yet in our pre-season games and there was talk of York showing interest a couple of weeks back.

I had heard that previously that Khan would welcome a move.

Considering Mitchell played CB in a back three last night and Saturday despite being a midfielder shows he’s pretty versatile.

I do believe we need some balanced strength in depth so any players that give us some versatility would be welcomed.

He does love a diagonal lofted pass, nice.

What a strange Swindon career. For non-footballing reasons, I'm happy enough he's leaving, but he was solid to find on the pitch. Let's hope the new guy is an upgrade.
