I can 100% see Clem & others breaking the bank to get Kemp as a charm offensive and then surrounding him with bargain bin.
Will Kemp want to come?

Having witnessed what a shit show the club is you’d have to question his sanity if he actually considered coming here.

But played the best football of his career, why wouldn’t you?

You have to test yourself at a better level surely. Try to win something.

There's a bit of a style of play thing - Kemp clearly thrives when the team is built around him (Swindon, Hartlepool) and less so when he's just one part of a creative system (MK). He's almost the opposite of a George McEachran who wants to be a cog in a smooth machine and looked lost asked to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Depends if Kemp believes in the ‘new start’ spiel coming out of the club.
As with all new manager appointments, they invariably talk a good game.

Well in the last 2 seasons he has been relegated from League 2 and played for a team that ultimately finished 19th. Surely he has aspirations above being one of the better players in struggling teams in league 2 and wants to actually achieve something? Let’s face it, whatever they try to sell him he’d be stupid to believe having already witnessed that the club is a shit show.

Kemp has been in talks with Wrexham over signing for them, if he comes here ahead of them he will be an idiot.

I honestly can't believe this is even being seriously discussed. The Clem propaganda machine is something else.

He has to get fans back on his side by promising them great signings. Its just not going to happen.

Kemp will go to Oxford.
Way too big a jump for him IMO at the moment.

Kemp didn't play his best football because it was Swindon (you might say he was even better playing at Hartlepool btw. Kemp was vv good because Mike Flynn sets his teams up entirely around having a good number 10. As he did with Twine then Azazz at Newport. So if Flynn ends up at Cheltenham, that would be a good move for Kemp. Does Mark Kennedy play with a number 10? (Absolute moot point because Kemp won't be here because we are only going to be getting players from Standings old agency and maybe someone Mark Kennedy knows). Playing with 2 x No.10s at MKD didn't suit Kemp at all. So he does need a specific setup.

What am I missing about getting players from Standing’s former agency? I can’t see any concentration of a particular agent other than the 3 Irish loans in January from an agency where I can’t see any link to Standing.
