Kennedy is know for playing defensively solid football so makes sense and we need big CB's that was blatant in most games last season.

I've read the articles about Kennedy's 'style', but we have to be honest, if he inherited a squad from Appleton that was only capable of playing one way, then that largely informs what he was able to do.
Much like everyones thoughts around Flynn's style, and how that seemed to do a 180 when he took over here.
Lets wait and see.

As long as he gets us defensively solid thats what I miss in the last few seasons. The feleing that every time the opposition get a corner or put a cross into our box that we will be unable to defend it and probably conceded grinds my gears.

I think some of the defensive solidity came from 'needs must' as he had 5 or 6 attacking players out injured consistently and was forced to go down that route.

This suggests he prefers a defensive tactic mate. He began his tenure with a 4-3-3 attacking formation, which did gain some results, going unbeaten in his opening five games in charge. However, Peterborough United thrashed Lincoln 4-0 which I suspect somewhat dented the confidence in his side at the time. They continued with the 4-3-3 on the pitch but behind the scenes began working on what was essentially a 5-2-3 formation or a 3-4-3 depending on how you look at it.
He opted to make the club hard to beat, rather than continue the attacking strategy he had hoped for. This did prove fruitful, whilst sections of the fanbase became frustrated by the club at times ‘parking the bus’ it did get results against the top sides. Lincoln went unbeaten against the top three sides in the division in his first season in charge. However, the frustration grew as he continued with the same strategy against opponents lower in the table often resulting in scrappy 0-0 draws or 1-0 losses as both sides sat back and struggled to break each other down.

Ah fair enough JJ.
At least after the Peterborough defeat he was able to take on board things that went wrong and work on them. Had that been Michael Flynn, he would have just carried on doing what he was doing and we'd spiral. Let's hope we can get a happy medium between those 2 systems.

Absolutely mate. Garner, Lindsey, Morris and Flynn all have struggled defensively with the systems they played (were told to play) in dealing with anthing in the back line, mostly because of wanting more ball playing defenders and not defenders who can actually defend.

This actually happens at a lot of clubs, not just ours. I have been told (by an agent) it happens at many lower league clubs especially. Agents get affliated almost to a club (or a manager/owner/DOF) and so try to sell their goods all in 1 place.

I can 100% see Clem & others breaking the bank to get Kemp as a charm offensive and then surrounding him with bargain bin.
