I think the personal reasons are personally he wanted a better contract
He doesn’t want a relegation to non league on his CV.
Surely almost every transfer is done with an element of 'personal reasons' in that he has to choose to join the club in the first place, which is a 'personal reason'? Sounds like club bullshit to me.

Yeah personal reasons - more money - longer contract - higher league - a bit closer to home Not really reasons to let a player on a free unless you have better incoming. We’re not a charity!

I wonder what the 'personal circumstances' are that allow us to let Kinsella move to a club 30 miles down the road. Perhaps he has a horse racing addiction.
Gotta make up some rumour about him or something he’s done…

Or just wait a day or two for him to record a video on Twitter doing it himself?

I was not overly bothered by Kinsella leaving, for a fee.
Him leaving with no fee involved really is a piss take and smacks of nothing more than cost cutting by the club IMO.

The only thing I would add is that there are "personal circumstances" as per Sam's tweet it could explain things more, partially.

I could understand if it wasn't a club half hour away. The only personal issues i imagine would be with the club
Imagine being a proffessional footballer and the only outfield coach you have is the interim manager who has been nowhere near the football team for 6 months and in Australia half the time

I know, I agree. No idea where he lives, etc. Just trying to make sense of something that otherwise makes no sense.

Apart from the spin bullshit PR offensive of last week, the silence is deafening from the club, as well as the Trust.

I'm inclined to believe this is just a man looking to reduce his work commute in order to be an active parent than anything too worrying (for the love of god, don't tell to Roy Keane). The club will lean on the 'personal circumstances' element of this story and I can fully believe that Kinsella might have taken a look around and thought to himself 'to hell with this!' but, hey, what can you do?

Let’s be honest it’s just another way of reducing the wage bill. Any replacement (if there is one), will be a cheap option.

I’m sure the personal circumstances wouldn’t be a problem if the club wasn’t a complete clusterfuck. It’s just a convenient excuse to engineer a move and no one can blame him.
The fact the club are clearly happy for him to trot off just shows they’ll take any opportunity presented to them them in order to reduce costs.
