Not sure how I feel about this one... would prefer a CB or DM really and he isn't going to be cheap.

Exactly the type of striker we need. Something entirely different. We need a striker that can compete for a long clearance when we need to go long. Presume the CB is also on the horizon.

True enough, if the CB is in too then fine.

If we get Wickham, we have really good depth up front. Cains performance Saturday shows we've got pretty good depth at CM as well. GK is pretty good too. Pity that depth doesn't go throughout the squad.

Connor Wickham will also be an asset for defending set pieces and corners due to his size

Like to think he’d be more of an asset for our free kicks and corners!
20 goals - all from open play. Start adding some set pieces and we’re really rocking!

I do wonder if they all stay fit, can the management keep the 4 forwards happy till Jan. Of course they won’t stay fit given their history. It would be interesting to hear how Flynn would be trying to sell the club to Wickham.

I imagine it's quite an easy sell at the moment with the free flowing goals. Be just like Sheringham, solsjkaer, Cole and Yorke. It's easier to keep players happy if we are winning and scoring. If that changes he will have some tough decisions but good decisions.

Probably an easy sell. You’ve got no job, we want to offer you a job. Personally don’t think it what’s we need at all but meh…

I meant there might be offers from other clubs where Wickham feels he’ll play every week. He may prefer a club where he’s the big fish. If he’s happy to rotate in a L2 team then fair enough.

…or ours could be the only offer on the table and we pay more than job seekers.
