Think it was more we realised Shade was not a full back. First game at Harrogate was Hutton a LB, Shade at RB.

Now that would make sense because that wing back combination was atrocious

Just giggling at the prospect of that. Fucking hell, what a time to be alive.

Giggle all you want but we’re going to see that combination again on Saturday - just on opposite sides…

He did but we all thought Hutton was on his way from last summer. I've always thought Lavinier was bought with that in mind.

I’ve said before but my memory was that Hutton was playing absolutely shocking in a 3-5-2 so they brought in Lavinier.
That then gave Hutton a kick up the arse and his performance level shot up. We were then trying find a place for Lavinier.

I liked him but we are not losing Nicky Summerbee here people.

To pick up on something I keep seeing.

One in one out is literally impossible if Flynn wants 23/24 players as he's said as recently as last night...

The club/manager have obviously decided this deal makes sense in isolation, i don't expect further incomings to be reliant on outgoings unless we have serious problems.

And even if we were, we would survive without him

Its been impossible all summer tbh. If we were as skint as we are supposed to be there’s a lot more players on a lot more money than the ones we released on. I’m sure there’s a few if we are that skint we would have taking small bids on.

Are we leaving it too late, absolutely but I refuse to believe the budget is as bad as many are having us believe

Crewe friend of mines thoughts on Tariq Uwkawe

Never really did it consistently for us, not his fault (constantly changing positions, poor team etc) but the good stuff he did do was going forward, ask him to defend & he struggles so he'd be ok at LWB I guess. He's a decent crosser, which we didn't utilise enough.

A decent crosser… him one side and Hutton the other, Charlie Austin is licking his lips.
