Anyone heard any whisperings of any more incomings this side of the weekend?

In fairness I don’t personally remember you saying that (doesn’t mean you didn’t just I don’t recall it)
What I got from your posts was it would only loans & likely to be Prem youngsters at no cost because the club is skint.
That is a little bit different to club need to free up some wages first. That doesn’t mean we are skint - just means most of our budget was already spoken for.

He made whatever comment he made after we'd released 9/10 players.  If our budget was then set at that level then it has been reduced.  At no point has Flynn or Angus said we were cutting the budget and would require outgoings to fund incomings.  That would be a real concern because we are woefully short for any sort of effort in the top half.

Quote from: DMC
More wanky hopeful types, apart from Kadji i would say we have used the loan market very well havn't we? Are you thinking we would go out and get 6 or 7 perms

I think we need 4-5 solid experienced heads to compete, and to help nurture what we have.

Don't care if they are loans or perms.

we have some good young heads on the perm books already. collectively they weren't good enough but individually some show promise.

This side of the weekend meaning.... right now this minute?... Given our track record this summer, I think I'd have to file that under, "you're pushing your luck mate" 🤣

Especially given Kinsella was released in May and been known to be training with the team already.  Hopefully, if the timeline of that one is a guide, we've hidden four or five others in a cupboard for a few months.

I'd love it, if it happened... even if they had anyone lined up though, I'm sure they'd stretch it out to Monday at 5.00 at tbe very least...

We now possess two of the L2 midfield tackling kings now.
McEachran averaged 3.4 p/90 which had him joint 2nd in the league and Kinsella averaged  2.9 which has him 7th

I actually like the sound of Kinsella and McEachran with a more forward thinking CM in front of them like Kemp or Cain.

Central midfield is one position we look half decent in barring any bad luck with injuries.

No if you actually read what I said  instead of jumping straight in.

I said we would only sign loans unless we shipped players out....

Which we have, freed enough wages .....

We have a permanent..

Some people need to read the forum ....
Your exact words were

The budget will not allow those 5 or 6 'quality' experienced players ....

Only the l outlay on Lower League loan players or Championship youngsters whose % wage we will pay will be minimal

I assume that after Kinsella today joining that means we are perm signings done and only those you mentioned joining

I think he is hedging.

He is saying that the total budget left to spend was essentially near zero, and that the release of Darcy (who was in budget) is why Kinsella can be signed.

He is sort of proven right if we don't add more Perm signings without releasing anyone first, as that would show there was nothing left to spend back a few weeks.

The hope for those of us not ITK, is that we do indeed have more money "free" to spend right now and add more perm signings AS WELL as a couple of loans spaces being available.

The equation is simple. Kinsella wins the ball, gives it to Kemp.

Yeah agree with this, in fairness to Cowley. But we've only let a couple go recently and we need more than that in, so we'll see what the next week brings.

[/quote]Agree mate and Khan is the exact type of player we should have on the fringes too. I think attacking wise and midfield wise we are OK for the start of the season so hopefully 1 more to compliment Austin if we need to raotate.

W e all know what we are crying out for so if we can get 2 like that Ryan Edwards we are seemingly talking to then we are not far off a decent team. In my opinion of course
