Yes definately a LB/LWB and a holding midfielder, alongside a back up keeper as I am not convinced by Ward who has had 1 good game for us and also a bigger option up front to change things against some teams.
Yep. For me I’d want 2 x CB’s, 1 x LB/LWB, 1 x DMC, 1 x large striker to compete. With them being ready to go now signings and not punts. If we can shift some players out then I’d like to also have another creative midfielder/wide forward type and a proper backup keeper. Listed 7 there but realistically will probably have to make do with 4/5

Yes that sounds about right, the only positions I wouldnt mind loan punts at though would be LWB as good wingbacks in L2 are rare and quickly snapped up, and also a big striker, which I feel we could possibly grab another young loan in the mould of Ty Simpson, big quick and strong, not sure on the liklehood of us getting that quality on loan again though, currently.

Just think McEachran is more reliable, moves the ball quicker and is less of a liability.
Absolutely!

Flynn has said so many times he thinks the squad is very talented, we’ve simply got to trust him rather than trying to second guess everything that’s being said.
talented squads don't division bottom of the "since November league" 😛

Murphy-Mahoney New CB New CB FBT Hutton New LWB New DMC McEachran Kemp Austin RHM Subs: New GK Clayton (Injured) Brewitt/Minturn Lavinier (Injured?) Khan Cain Wakeling
Then see if we can shift out some of Darcy, Shade and Adeloye if needed to make room for another striker and creative midfielder/wide player.
On paper I’d be okay with that, if only reality worked as simply as on paper though.

The most heartening part of this preseason is nearly every fan can see what we need in the squad.

Here is the original article it was taken from and some quotes from Partick fans about it. Not sure some of those posting that has ever seen Adeloye play TBH, fucking hell based on that we should sign him!
If we dont sign him, im not going to first home game! Lack of ambition. (Im on holiday anyway!).

He sounds like an ideal signing, be a shame if we miss out on him!

Are we certain Cowley is actually a fan?
I always wonder when someones entire personality seems to be either in support or against an owner and I say that as someone who was always Power Out at every discussion. Anyone remember Gareth Gillman on the Facebook group? Entire personality was gaslighting the fanbase in to believing Power was a decent chap. Certainly don't hear from him anymore.

Build a decent squad and win games, no one will care if Clem or Rob tell us nothing.
Definitely true. Mist frustrating part of trying to convince other fans that Power was rotten to the core was he managed to sign some decent players and put together some half decent squads, so people weren't willing to hear it.

The starting X1 looks alright apart from in Defence, especially if Murphy-Mahoney turns out to be mustard. Even midfield potentially has a little depth if Flynn can get the best out of Cain again like he did at Newport. I'm still not happy with Hutton at RWB. He is terrible apart from one attribute of his game, his crossing. This isn't NFL, we can't just bring him on to cross balls in like a kicker. If we can get any sort of decent cash for him then take it as a gift like getting compensation for Scott Lindsey. With Clayton injured and Lavinier being made of glass, we need a whole new backline apart from FBT or we're going to seriously struggle this season. Need like 4 signings desperately and all in Defensive positions. 9 days.

I think we can all agree on that, and how if we dont get the 2 CB's we could well struggle defensively. Offensively not too bad though.

Maybe with Hutton we can do similarly to what Klopp/Southgate has done with Trent AA and converted him into a midfielder. His issue was always his defensive side, a la Hutts.
Clearly I don't think Hutton is good enough to do this, but food for thought.

Spot on. He basically 'sportswashed' himself. It was as clear as day that he was a wrong 'un from minute one but those of us who could see it were lambasted by fans either willing to turn a blind eye or who simply couldn't/didn't want to see it. It's a big factor in my probably overcritical approach to the current regime but I'd rather do that than give them a free pass because of pint pulling/bucket hats/not being Lee Power.
