Apparently linked defender Ryan Edwards could be looking at a move to the Indian Super League.

Don't read the death thread. Sinead O'Connor has died 3 times on that one.

Was he going to be a Morris or Sandro signing?

Possibly a Clayton type signing, wouldn't be bad but still think we would need an experienced CB
He was a Morris signing, and I would disagree about 1 experienced CB, I think we need 2 experienced CB's.

I think it depends if we get a LB/LWB in.
If so then a back three including Clayton & FBT with Minturn/Brewitt/AN Other backup would, (I think) be OK.
If we don't get one then I think you're right we'd need two starters at CB.

FBT is a starter for sure, Brewitt is an ok backup but I do not want to rely on him, therefore for me we need 2 more centre backs, Clayton looks good in spells but I fear he is broken physically and will never play more than 10 consecutive games (so it seems).

I still think Brewitt could be better deployed in the DMC position as his passing at times is excellent and he can tackle but he is often out of position defensively when playing at CB.

Agree. 2 CB’s and a LB/LWB ideally.

Well, here’s a strange twist

https://the72.co.uk/2023/07/27/swindon-town-face-indian-competition-for-free-agent-target/

Also Adeloye is wanted by Partick Thistle
Here is the original article it was taken from and some quotes from Partick fans about it.

Quote
Partick Thistle are looking to fight off interest from north and south of the border to sign Tomi Adeloye on-loan.

Jags boss Kris Doolan is pushing for a deal to take the experienced up from Swindon Town.

Adeloye already has a proven goalscoring record in the Championship via his previous spell at Ayr United.

Thistle now believe the 27-year-old could give them the firepower to enhance their own push towards the Premiership.

Adeloye has interest from England and other Scottish clubs but the Firhill side are looking to beat them to the punch.

He moved to Swindon last year but there has been a lot of upheaval at the English League Two side and a number of managerial changes.

Current Swindon boss Michael Flynn is prepared to let him head back to Scotland to get game time and to free up wages.

(from the daily ranger)

Quote
Interesting. Certainly scored a few for Ayr even if he has not been so prolific elsewhere. Certainly fast and a different option up front to Graham or Dowds

Adeloye could make a very good addition to the squad. Said before but ideally I'd like to see Dowds go out on loan. Replace him with a "Tony Weston" type of player. Albeit an upgrade on TW.

Seems Adeloye has had attitude and application issues in the second half of last season. Hope Doolan has done his homework if he's a legitimate target.
Not sure some of those posting that has ever seen Adeloye play TBH, fucking hell based on that we should sign him!

Yes definately a LB/LWB and a holding midfielder, alongside a back up keeper as I am not convinced by Ward who has had 1 good game for us and also a bigger option up front to change things against some teams.
