I’m off to Colchester no matter what does or does not happen between now and then.

well yeah, that's kind of how it works up to your own personal breaking point!

for the record I was never off to Colchester even if we signed Messi, Kane and Ronaldo!

I will be there at the first home game though

Same, done Colchester twice, that's more than enough. I'm going to Crewe home also once I've robbed the local corner shop to pay for the match ticket Smiley

Also Adeloye is wanted by Partick Thistle

The Indian league seems to be attracting quite a few players from the Scottish leagues.

Question for Quaggy (or whoever).

I've already said I think it need 5 to be competitive in the promotion race. And those players are key positions imo.

But how many do you think we need.

if it's like 1 or 2 'cherry on top' players then I kind of get your argument they can come in later.
I would like the 5 to be competetive over the season but i think 2 centre halves and a midfielder is enough for now

Well, all these supposed Championship clubs after Edwards seem to be noticeable by their absence. Maybe we are still in with a chance.

I think 4/5 is about right, you don’t need me to tell you what positions they are as it’s obvious.

But I think we will get them before the deadline closes…. Is that ideal? No it’s not, but it’s also not the end of the world.

Flynn has said so many times he thinks the squad is very talented, we’ve simply got to trust him rather than trying to second guess everything that’s being said.

I know it's only pre-season but the apparent performances against Swansea and Bristol City when we featured our first XI have been very positive. Yes in both games we fell apart when playing triallists/fringe players, but i'm not in the least bit bothered about that, it's the whole point of pre-season. I've always said that I would have liked our first XI to have been more or less ready by the Eastleigh game, so as to give them 65 minutes in that, and nearer 75 against Plymouth.

I reckon we'll have 3 done by the start of the season, probably a loanee centre back, Kinsella and 1 other that would be more of a utility player. I'm not ITK, this is pure guesswork. Let's hope the swan may get it's arse out of the water and fly/flap around the CG for a bit over the next 8 days.

I think you will find they have been looked at and offer no improvement to the squad.

I know people seem relaxed about getting people in by the end of the window, but momentum is everything in football. I know Paolo started appallingly but he had a blank cheque to get him out of a hole. Morris simply never recovered from a duff start. With the amount of away games we have front loaded, is it not a massive risk to be trying to get players in in a month's time when by that point we may have lost all of our games and be bottom of the league (I'm being dramatic to make a point)?

This defence is simply not up to the standard required to compete in L2. It needs addressing and fast.
