If we don’t get 3 experienced players up front, midfield and defence serious questions will be asked.

You don’t get out of league 2 without some physicality

Wonder why we’ve not tired up Sam Pearson yet, horribly short of defenders we must be proper skint

Was he that good v City?

I thought he was ok. Maybe want a longer look.

Bit disappointed to be going with more kids so far tbh

What serious questions will be asked and by whom & to who?

Generally given up on signings. This is it. The squad we have is the squad we have. Rather just get on with it now.

My mate who's a Bristol City fan said Pearson is a winger. I asked if he could he play wing back and he wasn't convinced.

Well he didnt get a decent delivery in during the time he played. Though perhaps he was played on the wrong side.

Think this too, we don’t have a natural left win back. We are 2/3 CB’s short, no big CDM’s short of a hairy ass number 9

The bemish line is in real danger.

What on earth is happening at our club. Thought clem was the saviour

Ignore the drone. It must have been 2 for 1 on pints of mild at the old goat last night.

We simply are not going to kick off in Essex with this current squad, Flynn has had enough experience at this level to know what it takes in league 2. Unfortunately transfer deals take time. (longer for us it always seems)

I guess the Premier League kicking off later than us is also a hindrance, as if we want to use our remaining 3 loan spots, taking players from Premier league sides means we have to wait until their squads are settled.

Yes, most PL pre-season tour squads are stuffed with likely loan candidates at the moment. The trickle down will take some time.

I get his general point but the AB shows asking questions really gets you no where (rightly or wrongly) Flynn / Clem etc aren’t going to answer to irate fans on message boards.

I’m over pre-season now, fed up of all this toxic shit. I’d rather the season started tomorrow (even with the squad we have) so we can actually judge Flynn, the players & whoever else on what really matters.

Results. Let’s just fucking get on with it.

Agreed. This hasn't been a 'fun' preseason. Compare and contrast with Paolo taking the boys off to Italy or a Copa Ibiza etc. Zero glamour, uninspiring fixtures with almost nothing at home (I did wonder if that was a cost cutting exercise to save on matchday costs) and not even a sniff of a permanent signing. Let's just release the handbrake and get on with it.

…but…at least that would be something actually worth getting agitated about…
Something factual, something there in black & white. Something actually proven to be correct.

Wasn't the lack of home fixtures because of the work Marcus Cassidy and the new groundsman had to do on the CG surface?

Could be I guess. Or could be because work is needed on the ground. I would have thought that Swansea at home might have brought in cash rather than cost. But, obviously Melksham, SS or Eastleigh wouldn't. Brizzle would have incurred significant policing costs though I assume.
