Think the club need to act now tbh. I am not as concerned as others tbh but it's more about what atmosphere this is creating off the pitch and it's starting to get like last summer all over again where we go in to the season negative

Agree with the post above. There does seem to be a bit of a toxic environment within parts of the fan base currently as people feel shortchanged regarding the promises made in May.
Yes there are still a few weeks left, but the activity we know about so far does not seem to back up the pledges made at the end of last season. They do have time to turn this around and I hope they do as if promises aren’t kept then next season will be the last chance saloon for Clem and Rob

Now's the time for Flynn to make some noise if he dosen't think he's getting the support from Clem. Let's hope he's his own man man and not a yes man.

Let's not create a whole brand new scenario Jimmy.

As the days count down to the new session the scenario is creating itself😀

I wanted them earlier than now. Though I'm sure it's not what you meant, the club can't just magic them up even if it would calm the nerves. In fact a couple of young punt signings could have an even worse effect and those are the ones I'd like to see announced last! Connor Wickham sounds brilliant, I just can't see how were in for him tbh. Get that done and the mood would change. is this fan whisper or nod wink itk?

Is there a trusted source for this Wickham rumour? He would seem to be far more expensive than a couple of other forwards we have missed out on, so seems very odd honestly.

Very much agree with this, I wont get excited until Flynn says hes signed, if it is indeed him, which I do hope it is.

that's not totally true.
but manager appointments and signings make a difference.
I'd say the appointment of Flynn raised expectations we were going back to being a football club rather than a kindergarten.
lack of signings and rumours have flattened it.
it's true there is a subset of fans that are waiting to be negative, there's also a subset that are nothing but positive too.

They can't you are right but they need to manage the situation better is what i mean as i have not mentioned signings. There is no feel good about the season at the moment whatsoever and thats down the the way we are getting our info etc. 7pm sponsorship signings are not going down well at the moment along with £25 meet the manager meals and kit launches. Like i mentioned i think signing wise we will be OK i am not panicking but last summer with the whole SL shambles the season started really badly atmosphere wise and tbh it feels exactly the same to me this season

Connor Wickham would be a good addition to the squad. Having had a good spell at Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday seems as though he would bring a wealth of experience, especially never having played this low in the league. A Yes from me, Assuming there is an option !.

ah I see your point now DRS. Fair enough.
Hoped the behind scenes changes announcements - the way the actual announcement was done - was the start of an improvement in the 'image' department.

The thing is are we a big fish in this year's league?
Our attendances will be top 6 for sure but financially it feels like we are no better than upper mid table and we have kept a core of a squad that was the worst team in the country from November onwards.
It's sad to say, but looking at it rationally, would a player think he has a better chance of going up this year with us than with Gillingham, Mansfield or Walsall?
If not then you definitely take the cash or location.
