Right. Now that’s been put to bed, who else are we after?

Billy Paynter, Jon-Paul McGovern and Kevin Amankwaah.

Doesn't say anything about him having a medical today... Just completing paperwork
Last game for Brisbane Roar he was hobbing about like a fifty year old

No manager would go against an owner who seemed to have done a deal for a known forward and previous club favourite especially when scoring goals had been a problem all year.
Except a manager who is on thin ice.
But I for one don't think Austin is the answer to Swindon's problems.
There needs to be a big change in attitude and a passion to want to win and win well.
Without counting the Mansfield game. Simply little passion or desire on the pitch all season
I think you are missing the fact that the team and the crowd no longer believe they can score and need a lift.   Just by his presence it will add that, giving everyone something to sing about and the anticipation of him receiving the ball.    He may even be able to teach wakeling a few things.

He may not be the answer but if we are getting him at a discount we would be mad not to sign him.

Hope you are right because we really do need to get out of this division (upwards)

I would agree with that.

Been such a disappointment this season after how he played last season. I’d cash in while you can

Well that is a dig but hey ho. .

it absolutely wasn't. My only point was that while people are told it's done in good faith, until the paperwork is done and ratified it can (and has before) fall through - i.e. it's not done until it's done

if you want to take that as a personal attack crack on.

looks like events have overtaken and it's back on

Yeah would not be surprised to see him sold in Jan, if they can get anything for him. He is never going to sign a new contract given what is said to have happened, or what his agent has said has happened.

Someone said there could be a few out when at the game on Monday.

No great loss I don’t think. Team is dying out for a ball winning CM (Grant-type), so let’s hope we have a replacement in mind

If we could get good money then yes do it, he has been back closer to his best in the last 2 games but he still isnt at the same consistant level he was last season.

I think the midfield is crying out for a lot honestly. Ball winners always win the fans over, but we have never had that many of them. We need more players who can turn a player, create some space, play the ball forward and not back to the full back or CB.

Not impressed with any of ours currently. Gladwin maybe the best of what we have, Khan okay. So we need upgrades there regardless.
