Experience does not equal expertise. John Sheridan anyone?
Football is littered with experienced dross and, likewise, full of people with no discernible track record doing great things.
We are only going to know if the recruitment strategy has worked at midnight tonight. It just seems strange there’s so many online fans indulging in the possibility it might all fail.
Surprised the club has not recruited from this forum......the expertise on here is breathtaking!!

So what does a good/bad/indifferent day look like?
Good McKirdy stays OR is replaced by a known quantity Second striker joins (loan would probably be fine) Lavinier or other RB
Indifferent McKirdy leaves, replaced by two unknown strikers Maybe one other signing (Lavinier?)
Bad McKirdy leaves and is unreplaced or only one unknown striker
Disastrous McKirdy leaves, Reed does a DJ and gets a last minute move Minimal to no replacements
Ward leaving I don't think makes too much difference either way, harsh as it sounds.

New temporary transfer deadline rule. Any further overly negative posts or suggestions that we are going to be relagated results in a 24 hour read only ban.
This is your only warning and there will be no appeals.
And you only get to read the negative posts?

I take your point but with the 4 major roles at a football club I'd quite like at least 2 to be experienced.
We didn't have any last season? Chorley had never been DOF before and Garner was still a rookie.

Not saying it can't work, just saying what I'd prefer. Lots of things aligned for us last summer.

Chorley had done the role under prior ownership, garner had had a (bad) spell as manager and a very extensive career at first team, high league level

Why don't you ask the Trust to put it to the advisory board?

Hang on, are the Trust good now or just Clems lap dog, admittedly I haven't been here for a while but last I saw for many they were at best pansy's in all this shit show (or something like that).

Back to Transfer Rumours - Peter O'Rourke is reporting that Marcel Lavinier is signing for us. Sounds like a loan deal. I note that Spurs offered him a new deal which he refused and they forced him into solitary confinement as punishment. It sounds like if he does well for us we have a very good chance of making it permanent (reading between the lines)
It doesn't sound like there is any first team experience there aside from this snippet from Wiki. 'On 24 February 2021, Lavinier made his first-team debut for Spurs in the Europa League as a substitute for Matt Doherty in a 4–0 home win over Wolfsberger AC in the second leg of the round of 32 tie'

The only issue with Ward leaving is if the Boro keeper is recalled in Jan, how will that leave us.

You are asking the wrong person here really. I just know they put out requests for queries for the advisory board. *closes the can of worms you have attempted to open*

Hoping for an exciting day.....
But I think business so far has been great. We don't gel yet as a team but we are improving, at least that's what my eyes see (only been to home matches so far).
Payne out --> Darcy in.....this boy improves game after game, will be worth more to us than Payne over time. Barry out --> Wakeling in......again, match on match improvement and hungry for success. Good goals so far, if he stays fit, he outshines McKirdy & Barry in the long run as he'll be more consistent.
Other ins....
Hutton --> needs to improve but pace is there, long throw if utilised well will be menace (esp if we get a big target man) Khan --> can see this lad becoming a major cash asset for the club. great engine, good break up play, good passing. Shade --> bit in an out, but has plenty of pace. maybe a run in the team will help him, I think he has something. Others --> not yet seen anything other than bench warmers tbh, maybe some sparks there that will ignite when really called on.
So....I'm not overly fussed on McKirdy going but that leaves us 2 or 3 light up top. I haven't seen anything in Adeloye yet that gives me hope.
Wants for today
1 striker & 1 forward 1 right back 1 winger or confirmation that Iandolo will be fit soon as I think Blake-Tracy is a better left back, and Iandolo will do a good turn for us left midfield. 1 centre back, loan recruitment in this area was superb last year, would take any of them again.
