So if Davison has a hamstring injury do we need to bring in a free agent? Without a focal point to our attack it will just be even more passive and no out ball. The loss of Simpson is now beyond massive.

It will be interesting to see how long he is out for. The club gambled during the first half of the season by only having one senior striker on the books so clearly thought they’d get away with it again. Goes without saying if it is a lay off beyond a couple of weeks we will need to look at free agents.

If we change to a 433 or 442 diamond it could work having both in the team. Both wide in the 433, or Barry in behind the 2 floating in the 442 diamond. But as is in our current 352 setup and both as the strikers, agree and can't see it working due to their similarity.
