True but this is also our level that we are operating in and the same for most clubs.
The recent disruption to our squad hasn’t helped either, however this season was all about us having a free hit as we are way exceeding the expectations.
Totally agree, i have to sit back and remember we are league 2. If these players were better defensively or more consistent in front of goal it's unlikely they would be here

So it looks like it is a right back that may be signed, I'd suggest that leaves us without decent cover in the striker position, lets hope we don't get any injuries up front

I maintain and have said this a number of times that with the saturation of high end football, domestic, european and international that it is easy to overlook what we have served up every Saturday in L2 and compare like with like which is absurd when you give yourself time to think about it.

This feels like a glass half empty type of transfer deadline day - I guess due to KKH and Simpson not returning. That's not to say the players coming in won't be more than adequate replacements, but nothing to blow your socks off, as yet  Smiley

Surely, I can’t be the only one who isn’t overly fussed about KKH and Simpson not returning.

Personally I would like both to have returned but not overly bothered they haven't we move on now with other targets.

Fussed by Simpson. Think we will miss more him than we will KKH despite KKH being the better play I think Simpson was more important to our team.

Kind of feel the same. I actually felt that albeit it one game davison had more of an impact in our overall play than simpson normally does minus the goals but there was enough chances created to hope that will come.

kkh on his day is brilliant but it wasnt always his day and i keep thinking back to all of those home games where he waisted so many crosses and shots. rob hunt last home was also fantastic in his position.

shows the calibre of the squad now that we can still not be fully dependant on 2 being recalled and blow our season away

If the Buldock rumours are true then I'd be pretty happy with our dealings (plus signing Egbo of course).

I certainly assumed Davison was a 'loan to buy' player - didn't quite fit the upgrade in quality that was being promised  so Baldock would be a very interesting as a short-term contract to the end of the season (probably all we could afford). The fact that Davison clearly made an above average impact in his first game is a bonus!

Think this is great deadline day rumour and discussion. In the glass half full or empty discussion I am just happy we have a glass after last summer!
