He was also in the frame for Palace in the PL back end of last season...

Would be another incredible signing on paper. But I can't see it mentioned anywhere.

He is a free agent however, having not played at all last season....not impossible on that basis, much as Williams has arrived Hmmm

Think people are getting carried away with the Crystal Palace connection with Williams signing. They’d only have worked together a month at most at Palace so not the same as Williams.

His stay at Palace £62,000 pw - and his loan to Sheffield Weds - we’re both disasters. Continually injured and his attitude questioned.

£1200 pw is about right then.

I'm waiting for the Zaha and Benteke rumours to begin....

Simon Cox

Will sign as a player for this season but also chance to start as an attacking coach.

That is all.

I thought Jonny Williams was ridiculous, Wickham would be beyond belief and surely can’t be true

I’d gonna as far as saying he would almost guarantee us promotion if we got 35-40 games out of him

Ok, so he’s played a lot of his career as squad player in the Premier League but he’s never hit double figures in the league. Has score about 10 league goals in the last 6 seasons and averages about 4 goals a season over his career.

He’s scored most of his career league goals (13) at Ipswich who he left 10 years ago!! His best season (9) being 2010/11.

Had a decent spell at Sheffield Wednesday where he scored 8 in 11 but that was in 2014.
