As for slow/lazy/unfit players if you look at the the names mentioned, and yes they were all a bit unfit/lazy etc so all have a case, but Pitman played in the 1st team a lot more than any of them so was unfit/lazy for longer Dryden 7 games Rollings 12 games Ruddock 15 games Nalis 24 games Whalley 24 games Pitman 37 games! You can add David Prutton to that list.

They are. First team are at Portsmouth, there reserves are at Swindon.
So much for the open new regime. Kept quiet about that one. Posh reserves as our banner pre-season game - another lesson in humility.

I don't think they need to open the DRS stand!

Thoroughly depressing that the best we get is a Peterborough XI. Fucking Peterborough.

Surely the point of friendlies is too see our new players, not drool over the oppositions.

Not sure this game is being touted as prestige oppositions. Its just the first home game with no covid restrictions and new ownership that has most people excited to be back at the CG.
I do wonder how long goodwill holds (i'm sure for awhile yet), but out 7-8 players getting beat by Posh reserves (regardless that they are now a championship club) will no doubt still humble a few fans.

Not a bad state to be in compared to the past year when the only thing you have to moan about is the quality of the pre-season friendly opposition

Not sure this game is being touted as prestige oppositions.
It isn't as far as I can tell, and I don't understand some of the reactions. We always play 'lesser' teams in pre-season, along with some 'better' teams. Albeit games against the likes of Swansea were cancelled for reasons that everybody should be well aware of.

Pitman had the mobility of the QE2. But he put a shift in for 90 minutes and scored 11 goals in a truly woeful team. He should get 15 goals for Rovers in L2. I wonder who will get 15 for us?

And not Caddis? Or maybe they both chipped in with some useful snippets of the behind closed doors clusterfuck.

It's been said plenty of times that if you play to Pitman's game (like we did with Doyle) then we'd see more success out of BP and I think it's true. However, unlike Doyle, I don't think it's worth us being in his orbit.
He's proved that he's not great in a dog fight and I know people on here think the club are bluffing with their seemingly low ambitions for 21/22 but we need every single player to be invested in order to keep Swindon progressing.
I'm not convinced BP is that guy.
