True, but going from what was rumoured to be a £5/6k a week deal to what would probably be a minimum of half that with us is one hell of a drop.
Think most of us would be well happy to be paid that a week !!.

Way to miss the point.

According to the Newport forum if Newport win promotion apparently they are planning an approach to sign Scott Twine from us.

With the calibre of the other teams linked I doubt they stand much of a chance TBH, even if Flynn did get the best from Scott I think he should aim way way higher than Newport.

he'd get regular League 1 football in a team that knows how to accommodate him.

which is something he's talked about wanting.

I think a loan back to them would be a more realistic option after he is transfered to a bigger club, I doubt Newport would have the financial clout to pay the Bosman compensation fee to us anyway, rumoured to be around £200k apparently.

No doubt an incentive for Power to drag this out until that is sorted.

That did also pass my mind, if its sorted prior to any takeover then I fully expect Power to pocket any fees involved before leaving.

I asked a Colchester fans if there were any players that McGreal might bring in. He suggested Tom Lapslie who was a 7/10 tenacious midfielder who missed most of last season with injury and Courtney Senior who was an excellent skilful winger.

I want a big fucking lump up top - a real nasty bastard. 2 tricky wide players supplying him.

Re-sign Grant.

McGreal always when we have played them plays with a big fast striker up top who can also play the channels but holds the ball up.

I would love Jamille Matt but hes just signed an extention at the grass eaters, apparently Akinde is available, who on paper would suit even though I am not a huge fan of his.
