Perfection is not attainable

Just give Jojo your heart and treat as if he fits the bill. He basically does.

I reckon he'll be ours next season.
I like Jojo I think he is better than Kovar/Fryer easily, not quite the level of Travers but not bad.

I just don't think we will be able to extend his loan until the end of the season due to emergency loan rules, I would be happy with him if we could though.

And I agree IBIMR what is the point of more than 3 clubs in a season ruling, especially when none of the clubs barely even register on the EFL scale.

So it's a toss up between Barry Fry or Alan Nixon as a reliable source of information then. Hmm, not sure I fancy either of those
As you seem to know best maybe you should phone FIFA and tell them they’re wrong.

Is the difference here that Steele had already played for three clubs, so the limit has been moved to three rather than completely done away with for the time being? I can't keep up with changes in normal times, let alone now.

Not what I was saying at all, you sleep funny last night or something? The point I was making was that we had this discussion re whether or not Twine could be sold in Jan and a lot us, including me, thought he couldn't because of this same FIFA rule, albeit looking at the rule transposed into the EFL rules. Apparently that wasn't the case because, we were told, the EFL (presumably with dispensation from FIFA or at least a blind eye) were relaxing this rule due to COVID. Now we're being told the direct opposite by Barry Fry. So it's a toss-up as to who you believe. No need to get snippy.

Yes you may be right, although IIRC Nixon had spoken about the rule being "relaxed" rather than shifted but perhaps that is what was meant. Either way, it kind of negates the point of having published rules and regulations if the League and governing bodies are then going to take it upon themselves to shift or "relax" rules at a whim.

There was no reason why Twine couldn’t have been sold in January - he had only played for Newport.

Anyway, I was only putting up what was in the Peterborough Telegraph. Won’t fucking bother next time.

And us. That was the point, he'd played for 2 clubs. So under the rules as published we could have sold him to whoever we wished but he could only have played for us or Newport. But that's the rules as published and apparently the EFL are ignoring them so who knows?

I’ll happily go on trial as a keeper, naturally we won’t agree on a wage and we’ll go back and forth till the end of the season.

The efforts there - that will do right?

I thought he hadn't played for us until he returned?

I can't be arsed to check

I have checked, he didn't play for us this season before the Ipswich game. Not even a bench appearance.

Last appearance Jan 28 2020 if it's a "calendar year" or "rolling 12 months" rule, I can't recall

Without having actually read the rule myself it would seem as though there's a gaping loophole.

Years ago I played a few games with Andrew Hawes in goal.  Pretty decent.  Perhaps he could play with a headphone Mic on and commentate at the same time. Perhaps Rob H at centre half?

about 30 years ago I played football in the same team as Rob Hartley, he is not a centre half...TBF even Rob would say he is not a natural footballer! Cheesy

I see Andrew Hawes gets the nod ahead of me in the "goalkeepers Donkey has played with" side.

Absolutely fair mind.

Perhaps your fine tactical mind could explain the virtues of the 2-3-5 formation to El Shez?
