ITKs don't half set themselves up for a fall when stuff doesn't go as they expected.

They might sometimes have genuine inside info, but stating that X WILL happen or Y WILLhappen isn't going to look good when it doesn't.

Surely it's better to take that "I heard this, make of it what you want", approach?

Because largely people tend to get shirty and they say "oh you're being vague, just tell us..." or to similar persuasion.

As I stated before though, the curiosity is always with the individual that enquires further.


Often there is a "no win" scenario created when someone does have information. There's plenty of evidence of this on the TEF alone

If you cannot/refuse to show your working then, as far as I'm concerned, you're either attention seeking or letting down somebody who trusts you not to put stuff out in the public domain... the latter point makes you a rotter.

As someone who knows multiple people within the club it's probably worth mentioning that they don't always know exactly what's going on, or they've heard things themselves 2nd hand. Bit like Chinese whispers.

I think there's probably 1 or 2 genuine ITK'ers on this forum and they are usually the quietest.

Depending on how the information was passed on, it can leave the ITK-er looking Changesque.

That's on transfer fees and almost all our transfer fees in / out have been undisclosed so it's guesswork. It also won't take into account wages and other incomings / outgoings. Our crowds are bigger than Fleetwood's and it doesn't take a genius to figure out their wage bill will be significantly higher.

Indeed. The opening sentence starts "We've taken a look (via Transfermarkt data)" - anyone who thinks of the (admittedly educated) guesswork on Transfermarkt as "data" is badly out of their depth.
