OK his final ball wasn't as good as you'd hope at times. Still looked pacey and willing to take players on. I don't think injury and once being asked to play wing back helped.

Good luck to him.

Or if he can get Curran's dad to sign up and join the fun on here!

Currans sister or missus is on twitter and has got very arsey with people in the past for slating him.

I do think its a bit of a tough one really, it can't be easy for people to read such negative stuff about someone they love. But at the same time you have to understand in the industry of being a footballer, taking criticism is going to be part and parcel, especially on Social Media.

Everyone is an expert these days (although I appreciate that you probably don't need to be an expert to conclude that Curran may not quite be at the level required to play in league one).

Enjoyed watching Jonny Smith play.
I suspect if fully fit and with a proper run of games it might have been a different outcome.

Would like to see him back here one day.

Smith looked good on the ball but his final product wasn't always the best. In the early part of the season I was convinced he'd be quality for us.

It's hard to judge anyone in this team really, I feel like we could make anyone look shit.

I know many don't rate him but I think this is a shame.

A look at his highlights from last season and the fantastic reports from Oldham fans tells you the potential of this kid. I appreciate he's not delivered as we'd have hoped this season, but I can't help but feel we've let go a decent young player who, with good management, would have been an asset to us.

All the best to him and his Dad.
Agree with all of this. There's clearly a good player there, but we failed to get the best out of him. He will be one who goes on to have an exciting future in the game, leaving a section of Swindon fans to wonder how on earth that happened

Nixon suggests Johnny Smith is going straight to Burton on loan. Has a concerning chance of biting us in the arse that one.

I cannot remember who it was, but someone on here really disliked him, bet they are over the moon.

We usually looked far more dangerous when he was on the ball even if his final ball often let him down.

I do like wingers who can take on defenders, we now have only one player, DJ, who can take on his man when desirable, and he's being played more in the middle.  Very boring, and we're really waiting for a lucky bounce or mistake from a hoof to get a goal.
