McGilp training with Chesterfield
Still hopeful on Woolery
Tyler Reid told he can find another club
Still waiting for Isgrove, not sure if he is training anywhere

A lot of interesting bits in todays talk of the town.

We are still talking to Isgrove and Woolery it seems, yet arguably have signed replacements. Is there room if they both resigned?

No mention of Hope when talking about goals all over the team. Seems odd not to name check him. Is perhaps another of the ones they are trying to get out now. Perhaps this tallies with keeping Woolery and or Isgrove.

In a previous TotT he mentioned our budget not being near the cap, now he wants to shift some out so we have enough to potentially bolster in Jan. A classic Wellens misdirect.

I think we all knew Reid was gone based on being subbed at Ashton. Shame the lad has not kicked on at all. Can't believe McGilp gets paid enough to swing the needle on the budget. Outside of Hope, i can only think of Palmer. Can't see him shifting Broadbent while he is injured.

Palmer is an interesting one as he looked really good a couple of years ago and makes you wonder what has happened to him

Yeah and has the played the most games at Championship level of all our midfield options. I have been hoping he kicks on in pre season but line ups thus far seem to suggest a familiar trio of Lyden, Grant and Doughty. Wait and see i guess.

I think not mentioning Hope was more telling anyway. Which is interesting as he seemed (and his record proves) he is more of a goal scorer than Woolery or especially Isgrove.

I think Broadbent has been a let down maybe down to his personal problems. If the rumours of several league one clubs chashing Wollery & Isgrove are true I can't see either staying as they are sure to offer better wages which is what's it's all about

Understand that regarding Woolery and Isgrove. Yet Wellens could easily say we have signed replacements and they are no longer needed. Yet he didn't rule out either, and was almost back tracking his Isgrove comments to keep the door open there. I found it more interesting that with Smith, Payne, DJ and Hope that he still had room for those 2, and a striker. Which is why i think Hope could be one of the ones they are trying to move on.

It really does make you realise what a spectacularly shit job Flitcroft did with his recruitment. To think we won't even be hitting the 2.5m cap with this squad, yet that donkey Flitcroft managed to spend a budget of over 3m on a pile of rubbish.

Very lucky to have Wellens.

Writing was on the wall as soon as he signed the chuckle brothers to play centre half.
