According to his twitter account Isgrove could be off to Grimsby.

All he has done is wish Rose luck congratulating him?

I reckon he’ll go to Dundee United in all honesty
It is likely but Dundee United don't have any more money than we do. They are pretty skint, unless they sell Shankland to fund it.

I might be in the minority, but i'd like to see a backup striker in the mould of a James Hanson. Somebody who'd be a threat in the air, has good hold up play and gives teams something a little different to think about. Even if it's just for a plan B.

Surely that’s what Hope is there for?

Norwood is definately the fox in the box rather than big powerful striker.

As for Hope, I don't think he has the physical pressence to play as a lone striker, hes not strong enough and only 5 foot 10.

Hope is a menace in the box and might be worth trying as a striker if we don't sign one, he certainly knows where the goal is.

We have little threat from set peices and corners, our centre backs are not known for their heading ability and we have no height up front at all, Odimayo doesn't look that good in the air either.

I agree I do think we need more of a physical presence in the box than we have, not really in a Hanson way but certainly a better header of the ball than we currently have just to mix it up a bit when needed.

We put some great corners and crosses into the box last season but didn't have a natural header of the ball to get on the end of them, so a good chance each time was wasted.

Also a bit more height in our own box would be handy for defending them too. Something we looked pretty poor at last season.

Yes, but that’s not a bad thing, is it?

But Hope does one thing Woolery doesn’t - scores regularly.

I think Hope has been much maligned for no apparent reason. Like most new-ish signings he needs a run of games.

If there was a bit of a panic signing it was probably Palmer. But, again, we’ve yet to see him play.
Not sure that is totally right. I may be wrong but their goals top game ratio is not that much different

He may be a fox in the box but looks powerful and definitely a Wellens type of player

Woolery has scored 1 goal every 6 games, Hope is nearer 1 every 4 games. Hope has scored in 50% of all his Swindon games he has started. Both scored 2 goals last season but Hope did it in 5 games, Woolery took 34.

FWIW I would like Woolery to stay and think he adds more to the team than Hope, just my personal opinion.

But you can't argue with Hope's knack of being in the right place at the right time, hes got 3 in the friendly games too so far from 3 games.

He started his career at Everton as an out and out striker but they moved him out to the wing, might be worth trying him through the middle again.

As a 16 year old he scored 12 goals in 17 England U17 games.

Indeed, we have both said this several times, we create so many good chances in the box that any striker worth his salt will score a shit ton of goals. All they have to do is wait around inside the box and chances will fall for them.

Except if it's in the air when apparently last season we didn't have anyone who could head it.

I am sure I am not the only one who noticed this. I have noticed that you only ever post to take a snidey dig at PVs posts, maybe you should try posting something original that isn't just a put down?

Just a thought.
