Danny Rose signs for Grimsby on a 2 year deal
Good for him, hope it goes well for him there. I'd guess it's a bit further than he'd have liked ideally, but 2 year deals are not to be sniffed at in these times

Fair play to him.

Nowt wrong with him. He'd have been a decent first team player if we didn't have so much quality in that position already.

Cracking signing for them, class act in league 2.

As per FH, if we didn’t have such depth in that position he would have been first team regular last season and been one of our best players

rose is a great player IF he stays fit.

hope - you'd think there could be more to it. as simple as maybe he hasn't settled in the area or something.

was I impressed when he played? no.
has he had enough time to prove me wrong? no.

That’s one off the wage bill. Which as we all agree is going to be critical this season in getting the right players for the right money in the right positions. Who is next out the door?

Isgrove, training with a L1 side apparently, no not us!

Yes, I heard that, technically he was on a one year deal so he is kind of off the books unless he takes the deal offered as I understand?

Isgrove was our best player....

Wingers are not known for their consistancy to say the least, early season he was outstanding, then he was average then he got injured and was nowhere near as good as his early spell, ending up barely a bit part player who looked like he had lost interest in games and in tracking back when he lost the ball.

Not a major loss IMO.

I thought him and Doyle were getting a really good understanding that would produce a lot of goals and then injury stopped it.  Good luck to him, I trust our management to recruit what we need and if this leaves them room and more importantly money to recruit what they think is needed then fair play.

Agreed.  When you know how good a player can be, it’s all the more frustrating when they fall short.  Boy, did Isgrove fall short.  Early on some of his assists for Doyle we’re out of this world. As the season wore on, the team kept on churning out top performances and Isgrove just seemed to disappear.  I’ll bet RW is quietly pleased to see him go.

Even the great Don Rogers was not consistent.....he was brilliant and unstoppable one game and the next might do very little....

I think we can all guess that he was on a large wage for Town having dropped form the Championship to sign for us, that will indeed free up a fair chunk, good luck in getting consistancy out of him, world beater one minute to meat beater the next.

People seem to be forgetting he had a serious ligament injury. It’s quite an assumption to make that tie drop off in performance was due to effort rather than the fact the injury may/probably affected him very badly. Good luck to him.
