Going by what I have read about Kovar, we may have ended up with the better keeper anwyay.

good to hear, because his stats aren't great - though he's only 21 so they could be misleading

Striker i think
Listed as midfielder and played on wing against Man Utd U23s on 29 Aug. Says he normally playes wide left or through the middle, but played right wing vs Utd. On loan at Rotherham last season and waxing lyrically about coming back and the new manager giving him confidence.

He is definately a wide striker and not an in the box poacher, Orient played him as an out and out winger, he would be the Yates replacement wide left.

It's hard to see any future for Hope unless he's content sitting on the bench

Perfect lower league forum post. There will be plenty of opportunities for Payne on the other hand.

Town lose Hope...I can see the headlines now.
TBF Hope has never really fitted in and I wouldnt be surprised to see him leave in this window.
Especially if and its a big if, Woolery re-signs.

But Hope does one thing Woolery doesn’t - scores regularly.
I think Hope has been much maligned for no apparent reason. Like most new-ish signings he needs a run of games.
If there was a bit of a panic signing it was probably Palmer. But, again, we’ve yet to see him play.

That is indeed true, Hope does seem to know where the net is, more frequently than Woolery. Its his all round game that hasn't impressed me yet, I have seen every minute he has played in competitive matches for us and his positioning is awful at times. Maybe be would be better off playing as an out and out striker? he does certainly know how to score goals. As it stands though I don't see him getting a game in front of Payne or J Smith as the wide players.

Just had my Grimsby cousin asking me about him. Decent signing and wish him well. Smashing lad and hope he does well for them.
