Ought to be looking at Johnny Smith @ Oldham, on loan last season from the Shitheads.

Be amazed if we put some of our budget towards signing Stephen Ireland. Surely just giving him a run about.

100%. L2 team of the year in a side like Oldham. Exactly the type of signing I would hope we would be pushing for permanently (like DJ).

On the bench right now for City v Cheltenham friendly. Their fans reckon the way Holden will set up wouldn’t suit a winger.

9 goals and 6 assists for Oldham last season. We lacked goals from our wide players - and most everybody else last season, tbh.

Can’t believe the Woolery/Isgrove saga is still dragging on.
I think they're being incredibly stupid, as is Rose. They may prove me wrong, we shall see...

Surprised at that too. If they both want to move on, they are losing valuable time bedding into new clubs as well. Have to question the advice their agents are giving them.

Someone on facebook group (yeah i know, why torture yourself) reckons they saw woolery in the gym last night. His main career ambition is to play in America. He wants to stay at STFC but it is proving difficult to sort as LP is out of the country? Not sure why that would make a difference, i believe there are things such as phones and the internet nowadays

Perhaps he just fancies living in America?

He's never likely to make it big in England anyway.

He'd get a complete change in lifestyle and play with some much better players, but would probably do well in America because of the variety in quality within a single team, let alone across the league.  Some of the newer clubs are getting decent crowds and have invested in fantastic new stadiums.  Minnesota and Columbus have both got a big beer garden style things in one end of the ground, open to the game.  You have teams like LAFC filling their stadium, Atlanta near me can fill 73k for games and average 50k+.  Times they are changing.  Those with Central and South American heritage have reached a next generation who didn't grow up supporting Boca or Americas.

If I were RW and they signed this late in the day, they'd be doing a whole pre season's worth of miles and closed door friendlies before they got anywhere near the squad. The cynic would say they're leaving it late to get out of the excruciating hard work.
