Quite the frenzy to promote Woolery's new contract It's a masterstroke in promotion from the club unless Grant has gone rogue. Wellens said it would be a busy 10 days so we'll see what's been sorted ahead of Manchester '20.

I reckon Grant is on the wind up. Our fans on twitter seem to count down the seconds to 5pm every day so I think he’s having them on.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been up since 5am, to get the coach up to Manchester. Hence the photo.

Anthony Grant posts a picture of his watch set at 5pm.
With the emoji 👀
What we thinking?
Grant's watch isn't working

Even the BBC Wiltshire Sport feed have started posting non-transfer news 5pm tweets.
Is nothing sacred anymore?

According to Nixon, any Benda to Germany move would be a loan

Aitchison was pretty shit against us for FGR in both matches, ran around a lot and got nowhere near the ball. Would rather that Wellens went for a player who has played in L1/Championship and played well there.
As for Isgrove, I have moved on now and fully expect him to leave, good player on his day, a passenger in 85% of games for us though. Would rather we get a right winger who tracks back and defends as well as just attacking.
Isgrove must have been offered a deal, even if it was one he didn't like!

he's certainly implying he hasn't.
Perhaps we verbally told him what we would offer, and he verbally declined
who knows

After Isgrove got injured we changed our way of playing to more of a 433 which meant his wing position disappeared. After he came back from injury he didn't really fit the way we played so I reckon he's been told he'll be more of a squad player if he stays and not been offered what he expected or thinks he deserves. Alternatively it sounds like his agent is a bit of dick and probably isn't even relaying an offer until it meets his inflated terms.

If today’s 5pm announcement is, indeed, Woolery re-signing and not Benda, I’ll not be disappointed. Woolery is a good weapon to have.

Woolery has improved loads under Wellens and I think it would be good if we can keep him. He got a lot of assists and could have had plenty more (I think Doyle probably should have scored from 2 of his balls at Argyle away). He’s a great outlet on the counter, especially against tired defenders so can be an asset when we are under the cosh. Whether he stays or goes I have faith Wellens will be able to get in a suitable replacement.
