My mate back in Swindon reckons we’ve enquired about him for a loan.
Wilder has slated a few of his players for not wanting to find other clubs - Dave, McGlashan syndrome - and Clarke is one of them.
Trouble is, he’s on a reported £10k a week!

Its a shame, because I always thought that Leon Clarke was a very good player. I think he would be awesome with someone a like Yates. But, unfortunately, I don't think he has the mindset to complement his undoubted ability.
Short term loan with us paying a fraction of the wage to just get us through the next month or so until JD and Yates are back and/or last years 27 goal striker is fit again - Maybe.

Perhaps we should have a game of 'We cried on your pitch XI' - we could have Steve Phillips in goal, a midfield duo of Beauchamp & Taylor, with Clarke up front.
