Why are all our signings, seemingly, so late in the day?
Fucking irritating.
Because our signing on pen keeps breaking down in sympathy.

Weren't we saying precisely the opposite earlier in the summer? We had most of the squad assembled by the end of June - which is very unSwindon. We've just had a signing lull in July, and we're leaving the last few pieces of the jigsaw until the last minute.
I actually meant the time of day.

Ah...literally (not metaphorically) late in the day! I stand corrected. : )

Every player who drops a couple of divisions is going to be for a reason, it's about the risk vs reward.
They may drop because you pay over the odds - Bury They may drop because they are just not consistent enough - Anderson They may drop because they have not been able to have a run without injury for a while - some of our signings this post season.
The reward is that they may well be a better individual quality than buying from the same league or below.
Doughty couldn't cut it at Championship, he's head and shoulders above this league.

Not one to get excited about YouTube videos normally, but this was all for Oldham last season. He looks a bit of a baller, skillful and always likely to make something happen .

So Lang is probably the Championship striker mooted weeks ago- not Hylton or any of the others bandied about.
Got to say, that’s fine by me - and no doubt Chalkies

I can’t believe we offered that keeper a contract on those wages too. What a waste.

What wages? Obviously we didn’t give him a contract or we would have to stand by it.

I thought that but the story states we did offer him a contract but the international clearance stopped it from being finalized. I thought he was a bit shit and shocked we even offered him a bag of peanuts every week.

Swindon ended it during the international clearance process. Think the 'source' says that it would have went through (which it would have). If you want my guess, Krastev signed the contract and the club didn't because they wanted to keep him on trial a little longer. Without one signature the other is void and all that...
