Yeovil winger Otis Khan linked with us again down here in Zumerzet, would cost a fee though because he is still under contract, several other clubs in higher divisions also after him but he wants a move away from Huish. Luton, Bradford, Wigan and Bristol Rovers all known fans of him.
I wouldn't be shocked to see it being "A trialist", hes a regular scorer on the Scottish lower leagues on a Saturday Wink

Akinde and MKD sounds plausible though.
Akinde agreed terms with Wimbledon but they are negotiating the fee, said to be £200k, Lincoln also made an offer for him but he wants to play higher in the league.

I'm surprised they're giving him as much to spend as they are. He's going to be under a lot of pressure to make it work... quickly.

Oh I do hope so. Kahn apparently wants to move back to Yorkshire which is why he turned down Bristol Rovers in January, he should be able to get a better team than Mansfield TBH but I guess money talks.

Flipflop in the local Mansfield papers saying he has lots of targets but can't finaise deals for them its proving a lot harder than he thought.....boo hoo hoo.

Thats what happens when you are manager of a club that has little reputation even in the lowest division that has come into a few quid, some players are not entirely motivated by financial gain.

They'll be few and far between, but some clubs do need to pay a premium, up and above the going rate to attract players, because of their location/perceived status.

Steve Gibson at MBoro, has always made a thing of this, and similar at Sunderland, the danger being as Sunderland have found, you end up getting the Jack Rodwells of the world.

In relative terms, the premium to Mansfield of say a Matt Preston, wouldn't be huge, but then you have to factor in what the others are getting.

We're not in this market...

Swindon is under an hour from London on the train. It's not Borneo.

He might want to do some research, Mansfield is in Nottinghamshire.....  Wink

STFC have interest in Oldham striker Courtney Duffus. Just scored 10 in 13 on loan at Waterford. (the reliable twitter rumour account)

Not a surprise given he has 10 goals in 13 for Waterford.
