The Turnbull deal is more likely to be next week from what I've been told, loan seems more likely again though now.
Now..... Without getting everyone's hopes up, as this one isn't as likely, we have also asked after a team mate of Turnbulls, who has played for us before.

Yay!  We're getting Charlie back.   Grin

Saints want championship football for both players, if an offer comes in for either then it's likely that where they'll head, but, there hasn't been much interest in either up till now.

I thought he was a free agent.

He played for Saints U23 team last night (so did Stephens)

No, he's under contract but has been told he doesn't have a future I think.

This is true, he signed a new 3 and half year contract in Feb 2015.

He has been told he can leave for a perm or loan transfer as he is surplus to requirements, I have heard that Stephens could be the next to be told the same as Saints backroom staff have not been impressed with how he has progressed.

I can drag the mood down if you like.

we have the same squad as last year, plus Goddard, minus Turnbull, but without the leagues second top scorer!

I will take solace in the fact that every member of our squad are currently joint top scorer.

that's the spirit.

no seriously, there will be more ins. we all know that.

the midfield looks sweet if kassim  doesn't go awol mentally.

I think we'll be leaky at the back as a given, sov for me  it's all down to striker recruitment on how the season goes

Midfield options look very good indeed presuming we have no need for wingers at any stage.

Stephens, Turnbull, Anderson... We'd have a good squad at this level IF they come off. Certainly need 2 CBs and at least one ST that's for sure.

..... a squad that may have done much better had it not been ravaged by injury and managerial upheaval.

I don't know what to do with myself... I come onto the TEF to bring me back down to earth as I'm one of those blindly positive fans most of the time. But this has just reinforced my 'it's not all doom and gloom' opinion of how the season will go.

WE ARE GOING UP.  Clap Clap
