I've never even heard of this cunt until now. Is he genuinely thought of as something special, or is he just some lad that, for whatever reason, has caused a bit of a stir recently? Perhaps even because his name has been mentioned and people have googled him and seen he has a decent scoring record?
Exeter are some what of a "third club" for me. I know a lot of people there and I've seen him play - he's very good. So yes, he is thought of as something special, and no, I haven't just googled him. They're not going to let him go on the cheap. FACT.

That could send Alan over the edge.
Nah, I've seen them. They are ok. Would do a job. It's amazing the power of binoculars these days when it's dark and someone forgets to close their bedroom curtains

One would normally laugh at this, but then one remembers that it's Alan and that there may well be some truth to it.

I heard from someone who I would class as more than reliable that the offer we made was more than a decent offer. Not quite sure why people are getting wound up over us making these offers, the 2 other lads we have bid for are still at their clubs and if you speak to shrews fans they are far from happy with the lad we bid for this season.

Not disputing any of that. Goldson went to Brighton though, not sure why Shrews fans would be fucked off with him for that!!

What if Ajose's contract was expiring at the end of this season. How much do people realistically think we'd get/accept for him then?

Fuck knows why I put that I was on about that Barnsley lad. Was getting a bit confused, my point stands though I'm not sure how people can say they are derisory offers when no one actually knows

my point stands though I'm not sure how people can say they are derisory offers when no one actually knows if we stick to what we know as absolute fact there would be nothing to discuss. if your source is correct fair enough, the rest of us can only go on what is publicly on record and past recent history. I'm not wound up about it, it just seems a bit of a pointless to me. if we sign him I'll happily look a tit. or a bigger one before anyone else says it.

50k on Stewart. the rest were Jed weren't they, and even if not they are not the same thing as a coveted player established in a side.
we'll see

Power was involved by the time we got them, wasn't he? I'd always assumed he'd set those deals up, even if he wasn't in the hot seat. Especially so considering the Tottenham link.
I'm happy for us to put in cheeky bids for players like this, but I'd like to see us going for more solid targets at the same time.
