Have you ever had a decent cheese sandwich on a train, or even at a station caff?
This is the station caff not 200 yards from my house. But you still can't get a decent cheese sarnie there.

If we try and sign an up-and-coming then it's "why bother?"
If we try and sign a relative unknown then it's "who?"
If we try and sign a loan player then it's "typical, another loan."
If we sign a player then it's "I bet it's undisclosed."
It's a bid, there's no harm in trying.

A lot football chat in this thread alone.
People seem to take the TEF too seriously. Was never set up for that reason.
It's a transfer rumours thread though, you're bound to stumble across a bit now & again. Just goes off on too many shit tangents for me most of the time filled with even worse puns!! Anyway an ideal window for me would see us get Louis & Stephens back, Vigs on a perm (there's potential there I reckon) & a striker in the emergency loan window should Smithy go & Ajose or Obika get injured. Would like to see Hylton have a little run aswell. Must be fully fit & raring to go now, the odd 10 mins here or there is no good for anybody!!

500k for a L2 player who's contract expires at the end of the season?
I think a bidding war might push it up there, but other than that I think it's quite an over-estimation.
It's close enough. The fact he's in L2 is irrelevant, he's capable of stepping up a division in the mind of most people who've watched him. He's Exeter's Ritchie Will their gamble pay off? Maybe not. But it's a bidding war I don't think we'll win [/end chang]

Why would a player in a league below not be a legitimate target?
When he's highly rated and out of our price range. We can't know that for a fact, but we can take an educated guess that its true, but given our recent expenditure and leaked bids for similarly highly rated players (Shrewsbury, etc) I cant see how we'd be at the races. And BBC Wilts didn't just guess at this bid, if it came from our end it was done on purpose. I really don't care we can't compete for such players, I'd rather we could, but it is what it is.

Nobody in their right mind will pay 500k for him.

This, of course, opens up the whole debate as to what constitutes a sandwich, which has been done before on fB inspired threads, without satisfactory resolution. However looking at that Gallic over ornamentation, if you can't get a decent sarnie there, is there any hope elsewhere?

Before we go any further.... How do you know what he's available for, and what we're willing to pay?

Good to see you bringing it back to one of your footy themes Reg. They do plenty else, but for a decent croque-monsieur, or better still a croque-madame, you're better off in one of the proletarian joints facing the station. But then, you know all about the croque-madame, don't you Reg.

He's been looked at by championship clubs for a while. I really doubt we're offering what any club there could offer.

As has Kasim, apparently.

Are people sure they know what touted means? Scouted? Courted?
But touted? Surely it's Exeter doing the touting?

I didn't mean touted. I have no idea about Kasim, but I do know they want Nichols.
