My fear is that this is just an easy PR win for the club.

Talk to a highly rater good player. Make an offer, and leak that, knowing that realistically he's going to go somewhere he can get paid 3 times the amount we're offering and have a much better chance of being part of a promotion challenging side.

He might be a good signing but it'd hardly be a shock if we do sign him.

Makes a change for us to take a player from Bentford rather than the other way around

He'll go to Millwall. Bigger club, bigger crowds, more money. No way he'll come here.

I thought we'd signed 3 from them last season - Donaldson, Diagouraga and one other or was that another Jed dream

I would say that's an overly cynical view.  I really don't believe the Club are that Machiavellian.

Yeah, Millwall are fucking huge.

When there's very little between the actual clubs it will come down to which one the player will see as the better option for progressing his career.

That, or the money grabbing fucker will follow the dough!

Quite, though even if genuinely after him I'd imagine our wages would be lower. Depends what he wants out of a move I suppose.

They aint huge by any means and they will forever be in West Hams shadow, but they're bigger than we are, no question. They'll offer more money imagine as well, and that will turn him I'm guessing.

Although yeah if he's smart he'll take the chance on us as we've shown how we can develop a player. But on the flip side, we've lost some cracking players and you wouldnt blame people for putting money on us to struggle. Swindons a much better location than East London as well! but I'm guessing the £££ will win him over.

If it was all about the money, wouldn't he have signed the contract on offer from Brentford?
