It's good to see we are looking to address the central defender situation.

Ideally we'd get to keep Stephens and Turnbull cause they know the squad and how we play but the chances of that are slim I'd say. Also, is it just me or does Turnbull sometimes seem a bit nervous on the ball sometimes?

May depend on how they do against Yeovil in FA Cup. Man U after that.

Branco is the one who hasn't signed a contract extension. He hesitated over the last one too. Out of the 3 I think he's the best defender as he doesn't dive in and can head the ball!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe Branco as our 'best defender' before.

But I hope it is a phrase that is used often in the future. I like Branco, hes a bit brash and does make a couple of silly mistakes but I have always been impressed with him when I have seen him, loads of potential.

And hes Brazilian!

But unfortunately not with a value to a foreign club like David Luiz.

Oh aye, I have to agree he is much much improved. I always thought there was a half decent player in there, even on his less than stellar performances in the early days, but yet again, the coaching staff have transformed someone who could have spent his career kicking about in the lower leagues to one who is an integral part of a side on the cusp of promotion to the Championship.

Branco doesn't dive in??? Maybe in a parallel universe.

Definitely improving though. A lot.

I second that. He'll give Tom Daley a run for his money. He's the one I always panic about for going in too hard. He broke that BHAFC player's leg down in front of the dug-out!

Wrong thread again.

I'm not that bothered, just wanna see if you can get it right next time. I'll give you a clue: he was an 'ex Swindon town player'.  Wink
