Does this not happen with pretty much every transfer ever? often just before deals are completed.

Michael Standing rings a bell. Can't be arsed to find the link though.
He does the scouting, was also Kevin MacDonalds agent

Yep....that sounds right, don't know owt about him, but glad we're still doing the Standing....

Hence the link to Gareth Barry being one of the Towns mystery backers in the past. Standing is Barrys agent too.

A really strong rumour of a possible out is Smith.
My father in law is a season ticket holder at Ashton Gate. Despite that, he is a really great guy..
Apparently, the strongest rumour around Brizzle is Smith to them.
They are down to the bare bones. Can't put a full bench out and two unwanted cup games coming up.
They are screwed if they get another injury.

By linked does your father-in-law mean he's read/heard the few 'if they're broke buy that centre-forward for next to nothing' comments that have floated around since the council issue was made public?

I can't imagine Power letting that happen. Under previous regimes anything was possible but under Power...surely not.

As is evident from the knocked-back Luongo bid from Rotherham and the Louis Thompson deal, Power is certainly no chump when it comes to selling players. If anybody goes, it will be for the right price and with a replacement lined up.

Fuck me, first they banged on about signing Doyle from Chesterfield, then when he seems to be going to the Wendies it moved on to Afobe at Franchise, then Bradshaw at Walsall.
Wish someone would just drop a bomb on the place and shut the cunts up
