It must've been a dream I had, but I was sure I read on here that us and Yeovil were in for Flint on loan. Now I'm feeling a bit like Father Dougal.

Anybody know what's happening with El Gabas? His contract expired yesterday but I haven't seen any official confirmation that he's left.

I'm sure someone on here has mentioned it before but I'm surprised that nobody has taken a chance on Ross Allen from Guernsey. He has scored a hat trick in the first 32 mins of their game tonight.

Before today he had scored 27 in 22 this season, and 137 in 103 for Guernsey in total.

I know he is 26, but still surprised that nobody has taken the gamble.

Maybe I'm on my own here but I'd rather have Flint than Ward or Hall. This is one season too many for Ward at this level and Hall has been a huge disappointment.

Ah, the Millwall bit rings a bell as well, so maybe just the Swindon bit was imagined. I was convinced I read it somewhere, just couldn't find it. Phew.

Kind of agree with you though i think Hall will become a decent pro.
As for Flint i dont get the shit he gets on the forum....ok he left for City but Ritchie left for Bournemouth but butter wouldn't melt with him.
As for Flint in my eyes he was our best player towards the end of last season and indeed against Brentford in the Playoffs.
Maybe its because he is a bit of the jack the lad but for me i reckon he is a half decent player.

Blimey tans the reason we got £450,000 for him was because he signed the fucking thing would have went for peanuts otherwise....Ritchie didn't exactly go screaming and shouting.
Anyway to be honest i am not his biggest fan....just saying he aint as crap as people reckon, decent player in my eyes.
All about opinion i suppose Cheesy

Lets hope Wes signs a contract extension very soon....will be worth a lot more to the club if we sell him if he does Wink

I agree that losing Flint was the biggest disappointment. Blood and guts defender. Needed someone alongside him - Would have struggled with Ward this year I think. Phenomenal attacking threat.

Would have loved to see him and Harlee from Brentford together (for us). Proper centrebacks!

Flint is great with the ball in the air, but is limited with the ball at his feet.

Exactly the opposite of Grant Hall.

It would have been interesting to see how Hall played with (a much better) Ward from last season.

I like this, I like this a lot  Pint Check out the final score. Some of these Guernsey players are highly salaried in their day jobs but surely the lure of pro-football would suffice to prise him off the island.

Allen scored 6 in an 11-0 victory, 4th in the league, could they make it a third promotion on the bounce?

Would Luongo to Reading for £700,000 be a good deal?
