No - he was a lucky manager who just happened to be around whilst a relegated bunch of losers and a motley crew of crap signings somehow stormed to win a championship and look odds on for consecutive promotions (whilst notching a number of cup upsets for fun that STFC had been unable to accumulate in a decade or two previously). Let's hope Cooper is as lucky. |

If it were the case they didn't say they didn't want to play for us then I don't blame them one bit for wanting a payoff.
If they've said they won't play for us then fuck them.
We gave Benson a 2.5 year contract which at his age is going to be his last 'big' contract so more fool us for doing it but I don't begrudge him it. Caddis however has had a half days decent year in Championship so don't get why we would pay him off. Unless we are paying so much that championship clubs can't match his wages or there is something we don't know which explains why deals keep breaking down? |
