I wonder if Thompson would never have been 'discovered' if Caddis had not left!
Not as soon as he was. He probably still isn't Caddis standard so you'd assume he'd not have got into the team (maybe when JMac was injured), but he's not bad is he! |

He's a better defender than Caddis, but not a better attacker. Which, in light of the general consensus of where we expect to be next year, might well be the more useful attribute. |

I disagree, but I guess it doesn't matter who is right. The club want rid of Caddis. In any case I can't see Thompson doing anything other than getting better. |

I read it as a bit of a dig at him.Caddis has wanted out,made it clear and is now laying it firmly at the clubs door.He wants out the club want rid so sooner he fucks off the better

I know Jed's not the sharpest mind or tongue on the internet but I'm pretty sure that tweet is couched in sarcasm.
Sounds to me like he's claiming he tried to offer Caddis a 2 year deal before and Caddis made his desire to leave pretty clear.
Definitely don't think that should be taken to mean he's actually going to be offered a new 2 year deal on Monday.

All depends how you read Jed's grammar I think,
Could mean;
"Great, we'll speak to him on Monday reference a new 2yr deal again & his desire to stay at the club ..!!..."
Or it could mean;
"Great! Well speak to him on Monday ref the new 2yr deal we've offered & about his desire to stay at the club after turning it down ..!!..."
Personally I think he's off.
