Simon church back on radar according to bbc
He has never been off our radar but we can't make him an offer until we lighten the wage bill...Caddis & Collins leaving may well be enough to do that.

Be sorry to see Collins go, though
How many games did Collins play? Do appearances from the bench count towards the total, I'd have thought so? We pay Shrews £20k for every 15 games ...

Would tie in with Collins tweeting that he's leaving.

A saving of 4k a week probably. I doubt we'll get anything near what we paid for him.

given the bid we accepted for Caddis, nothing near the £200k total we've paid for him I'd imagine...

can't see it happening when we've accepted lower bids than £200k for a player who is already proven in the Championship and is somewhat in demand.

If it's less than we paid there's no profit to pay Shrews 20%.

Wouldn't that make laughing boy happy.
He would be all over the press saying what a disgrace Swindon are !

Always looked half decent when I've seen him play. A lot of Reading fans don't rate him though.

Huddersfield fans weren't too impressed either:

Quote
My vote has to go to Simon Church [for 'Worst Town Striker Ever'] an international with a decent pedigree, he showed us absolutely nothing. He couldn't head, poor movement, no trickery or pace or power. Worst of all he had no heart and hid. His performance against Leeds was shameful, absolutely shameful. I remember almost turning back home when I saw on twitter Grayson had dropped Vaughan for this waste of space.

I so disliked Church so much I even booed him off - first time in 20 years I've done this.

I even put on twitter something similar, it got over 20 retweets...from Reading fans. Sums him up!

Then again Lukas Jutkiewicz also made that list so maybe that tells us more about Huddersfield fans. I would be concerned about his attitude at this level considering it's supposed to have been bad when playing in the Championship. Would rather have kept Collins, who actually has quite a good attitude on the pitch even if he's brooding angrily while off it, but the boats looks like it's sailing on that one.

Expect Church will have unrealistic wage demands combined with an exaggerated assessment of his abilities anyway.

*new board conspiracy no. 321*

It's all just a ploy to suggest to the fans we're trying to move for proven league players to replace Collins while knowing they'll reject our offers so they can say: 'well, we tried' when we end up with Jon Obika on loan instead.

As I said earlier, his stats aren't that impressive,  he is a 1 in 6 striker. But he scored 4 from 13 for Wycombe at this level.

Collins is the one I really wanted us to keep. Can see him tearing it up at another club, even in a higher division. We'd be selling guarenteed goals with Collins and for that reason I'd rather try and shift Williams if we must.
