What if we have invested in youthful carthorses? Equally we could have bought the next Messi too. I literally have no idea about any of them other than Luongo, who looks promising.

You drift wonderfully between pessimism an devil's advocate Batchy old boy. Smiley

Could be a Simon Ferry (crock who couldn't get a Celtic game.. Worked out well)

Could be a Ben Hutchinson (rising star with prem and SPL appearances... Sigh)

Luckily we have a manager with ample experience developing young footballers. It's this fact that reassures me.

Blimey, been away for a week and it turns out we have been really quite busy.

A few signings really can change the positivity around the place. I like the sound of the Portuguese guy, anybody got a dodgy youtube video for him?

There are a few earlier in this Fred I think.

we've been to Aberdeen, we hate the Hibs, they make us spew up, so make some noise,
the gorgie boys, for Hearts in Europe.

What would rather us buy?

youthful players who may turn out to be excellent and are eager to impress or older heads who can't get a regular start for championship teams and may just see STFC as a final pay packet.

We knew what we were getting this season and, as it has turned out, they appear to be half decent.

give me a Lungo over a Navarro or Miller any day

Yes, of course that's a possibility. It's hard to make presumptions on players based on little to no gametime but as Costanza says, it's the fact we've got the manager we have that is reassuring with regards to these players coming in. He's got great experience working with youngsters, and has probably seen most of the Spurs lads play at some point, so I trust his judgement. I doubt transfer policy will be so hit and miss as under Paolo, if nothing else because we can't afford to do that anymore...

I apologise for not remembering two names of people we've only signed in the past week amongst a busload of trialists going in and out. For Agombar, shirt/scarf above head before I believe it. Could he be our new Milan Misun?

Looks like Eustace will be going to Derby then.

Finding quality and experience will cost. We may just have to settle for a an incredibly dull, sensible head from League One or Two, rather than a Eustace.

Agreed, a fine player with a good range of passes and has a wicked free kick in his repertoire. Speaking of which, did Marlon Pack go anywhere in the end?

Thank you!

I think you summed up my point though. Except k-mac is also an unknown as a manager Wink

And I take it one of these offers is not from us? I mean, Jed hasn't yet cryptically tweeted "Pack yer bags and move onto pastures new" or something similar.

I doubt Pack will coming, as compo will be due as he's under 24.

I still don't know who was to blame but that whole Pack (Wright-Phillips and Green) episode was quite ridiculous.
