Simply that its a fair bet that Brentford were offering higher pay, a move to London could have been attractive to Macca etc. As I said we don't know all the details. I surmise that STFC offered what was considered affordable and this was bettered. Makes sound sense to build a squad within budget. |

I do believe Chang rubbished this when I mentioned it a few weeks back saying that he will get a championship club, so it can't be true. |

Not necessarily better pay, but certainly a better deal. I don't think London was a draw, especially as Macca said he would be happy to stay if the deal was good enough. If Jed's offer was 'considered affordable' then why did he verbally better it at the last minute? I've nothing against building a squad within budget - that's just common sense, but Jed's approach to keeping Macca was designed for him to look elsewhere. |

I see Jed denies any offers for either player and both are under contract. Given he extended Flint's contract just to be able to get a fee for the bloke who wanted out i'd hope he's able to get a transfer fee for these, despite the need to cut wages.
He also said he wants Ward to see. How much we trust that with the macca thing i don't know. Really like Ward and think we need to keep some experience in the team.
I was reading through his tweets from last night and the guy seems very positive about things, he is either delusional or genuinely believes in what he is doing. We've seen in the past that new squads can be built over a summer and compete so fingers crossed i guess.

Well this is boring. A few ITK Twitter accounts claiming we're signing Eric Lichaj (according to SkySports he's going to Forest) and almost every member of the Spurs reserve squad.
I'm going with our 6 signings being Lichaj, Bostock, Church, Luongo, Byrne and Ceballos. Subject to change.

Fuck I forgot Chesterfield were in League 2. Surprised if he drops down a league but if they are paying him good money I don't really blame him. Especially as it takes him back up north.
We were all excited to sign him so no surprise Chesterfield fans think the same.
He was much improved under K-Mac, that dodgy pass at Brentford aside.
Assuming Luke Rooney also leaves, this would leave us without a wide player.
